I have been working in the Dental industry for over 20 years both as a Dental Assistant and regional sales representative for a dental supply company. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry especially making our patients feel welcome in our modern, friendly practice.
As the Mother of two gorgeous children my days are busy but in my spare time, I enjoy fishing, coaching and watching cricket, gardening, strolling on the beach, swimming and making the most of living in the harbour basin.
I have worked as a dental assistant and receptionist for the last 16 years, before moving to Redcliffs Dental Centre in July 2020 to join a larger team environment. It is my pleasure to connect with people and assist in explaining the complexities of dental treatment. In my spare time I enjoy landscape photography and the new, off the beaten paths that it takes me. For each new location, a new adventure!
I graduated from the University of Otago in 1982 and have been practicing Dentistry throughout this time. I travelled to the UK in 1989 and spent 5 years practicing in both the National Health and Private sector. I have been practicing at Redcliffs dental since 1994.
I love the science and art of Dentistry and enjoy getting to know my patients and making them as comfortable as possible whilst I help transform smiles and making a visit to the Dentist fun and enjoyable. I am a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and the Canterbury branch. I regularly attend continuing education courses on all dental disciplines. I am also a member of a local study group where a group of dentists meet monthly to discuss current dental topics.
I'm married with two adult children and four grandchildren. When not practicing dentistry I enjoy socializing with new people, walking, cycling, jewellery making, travel, reading and cooking.
