Meet the team

Kim Hughes

I graduated from the University of Otago in 1982 and have been practicing Dentistry throughout this time. Initially I taught at the University of Otago Dental School which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I travelled to the UK in 1989 and spent 5 years practicing in both the National Health and Private sector in the towns of High Wycombe and Oxford.

I purchased Redcliffs Dental Centre in 2001 and enjoy practicing Dentistry in such a lovely seaside suburb with equally lovely patients.

I love the science and art of Dentistry and enjoy getting to know my patients and making them as comfortable as possible whilst I help transform smiles, and making a visit to the Dentist fun and enjoyable.

I am a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and the Canterbury Branch and a local study group member where a group of Dentists meet on a monthly basis to discuss dental related topics.

I regularly attend continuing education courses on all the Dental Disciplines.

I'm married with two adult children and when not practicing dentistry I enjoy socializing with new people,  walking, cycling, jewellery making, travel, reading and cooking.
